A Message from Anna Gainey
On October 21 and 22, Liberals from across Ontario will gather in Niagara Falls for the provincial convention and Annual General Meeting of the Liberal Party of Canada (Ontario).
Our Ontario caucus members on Team Trudeau make all of us proud in the House of Commons, and this province’s hard-earned election victories on October 19th, 2015 set the standard for the growth of our movement across Canada.
With one year having passed since the last election, we have a lot to celebrate together - but as the Prime Minister often says, much more hard work lies ahead of us than behind us.
At our recent Biennial Convention in Winnipeg, we threw the doors of the party wide-open when we adopted the new Party constitution, which is helping us build the most open, innovative and engaging political movement in the country. I’m thrilled to announce that over 30,000 Canadians have already registered as new Liberals since this summer.
This is an exciting time for Ontario Liberals - a time of change and a time to look forward. We have an extraordinary opportunity to build on last year’s historic victories in across Canada, if we continue our hard work together to engage our friends, neighbours, and communities in positive politics. Canadians are counting on us to keep delivering real change, and we can’t let up for one moment.
Working together, I know that we’re up to the task of continuing to build a better future for all Canadians - and I know that Ontario Liberals will continue to play a vital role in the growth of Canada’s Liberal movement on the road to 2019.
Thanks for everything you do,
President, Liberal Party of Canada
